I will keep updating this page as I go so keep coming back to check it out!
NOURISHING THE SOUL - MANDURAH
If you haven't tried Nourishing the Soul in Mandurah yet, you should! It's a cute, reasonably new café with heaps of yummy and nutritious food. This is tofu scramble and avocado on toast.
NOMSTAR RAMEN - KARAWARA
This is Tofu Katsu from Nomstar Ramen in Karawara. I wouldn't suggest making this a weekly norm, but it's a pretty decent every-now-and-again treat that isn't too 'naughty'. The tofu is deep fried so it'll be higher in fat, but you're still going to get the goodness that tofu offers. I order a side of peas and corn with it (you can do that here!) just so there's a bit more veggie going on.
FLORA AND FAUNA - NORTHBRIDGE
It's not super close but it is SO worth the drive. These AMAZING waffles are from Flora and Fauna in Northbridge. Absolutely packed with fruit, you won't feel guilty after these bad boys.
CHICPEA CAFE - FREMANTLE
Gnocchi from a tiny café in Fremantle called the Chicpea Café. Hidden in the corner of the markets. All the food there is fresh, healthy and delicious.
CAFE ONE 58 - MANDURAH
Nutrient packed Acai bowl from Café One 58 in Mandurah
SAMADHI CAFE - MANDURAH
From Samadhi Café in Mandurah. A beautiful Acai bowl full of important macro and micronutrients!
Sushi can be an awesome go-to if you're looking for something to eat while you're out. Try to stick to the hand rolls that have the most amount of fresh food and colour, rather than the ones heavy in crumbs or that look like they've been deep fried. On the left I've got avocado mini rolls and on the right I have Inari. Inari is just rice wrapped in flavoured tofu.
STAGE DOOR - MANDURAH
Note: I'm not sure if this place is still open This is an amazing superfood bowl from Stage Door at Mandurah Foreshore. It's filled with so much good stuff, you could eat this every day!
